History of FMDM (Singapore & Malaysia) |
|
Over the years, the FMDM Community expanded to different parts of Singapore and Malaysia. In 1947, three Irish FMDM sisters set off from England to Anlu, China to partner with the Irish Franciscan priests in their missionary zeal. God had other plans for our pioneers!
In 1949, the British Colonial Government asked the sisters to look after patients with Tuberculosis, and the following year, patients with Leprosy in Singapore.
